Buffalo, N.Y. - The Buffalo women's tennis team proved to be too much for the Vikings to overcome on Sunday (Feb. 5) afternoon, as the Bulls sent Cleveland State to a 7-0 defeat.

"This was probably the best team we faced this year," assistant coach David Howell said. "They hit the ball hard and consistently and finished off points quickly."

The Bulls claimed wins in all nine matches to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Vikings fall to 6-4.

"Everyone competed and fought hard through out," Howell said. "This match might seem like a let down after our win yesterday, but everybody played hard. We just got beat by a very good team. We will be better from it once conference play begins."

The women's team will have next weekend off before returning to action on Feb. 17 with matches against IPFW and Southeast Missouri.
