Contact: Renee Adam Follow the Vikings on TWITTER "I thought we competed well in singles today, we just came up on the wrong end of a 4-3 match," assistant coach Frank Polito said. "Kara, Nicole and Alex Power all had great matches today - each of them pulling out either a tiebreak victory or a three-set win for Nicole. Our doubles needs some work, which will be a focus in practice moving forward, but after we get that worked out I think we will be okay." After dropping the doubles point, the Vikings made a strong comeback in singles action, but came up just short in the 4-3 decision. Kara Sherwood and Nicole Janek each picked up their second victory of the three-match roadswing, Sherwood at No. 4 singles and Janek at No. 6 singles. Sherwood earned a 6-2, 5-7, 10-5 victory - marking her fourth straight win - while Janek posted her fifth straight win with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 decision. Alex Power also posted a singles victory for CSU, earning a 6-2, 5-7, 10-5 victory at No. 3 singles. North Florida was able to add to their lead following doubles action with straight set victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 singles - earning the 4-3 victory. Cleveland State will close out its Florida roadswing tomorrow (Tuesday, March 12), facing Stetson at 6:00 p.m. North Florida 4, Cleveland State 3
