CLEVELAND - The Cleveland State women's tennis team closed out the fall season with a 6-1 victory over Oakland today. The Vikings won all three doubles matches to earn a point, then won every singles match but No. 1.

Junior Fatima Marin (Brown Deer, Wis./Brown Deer) got things going in singles action with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2. Diana Serafini (New Kensington, Pa./Valley), Audrey Shade (Grosse Ile, Mich./Grosse Ile) and Erin Johnson (Amherst, Ohio/Amherst) all followed with straight-set victories. Senior Brandy Cera (Lorain, Ohio/Admiral King) battled at No. 1, but came up just short, 7-5, 6-7, 7-6 (7-2).

CSU closed out the fall season with a 2-10 record.
