CLEVELAND - Cleveland State senior Fatima Martin (Brown Deer, Wis./Brown Deer) has been named the Horizon League Women's Tennis Player of the Week. It marks the first time in her career she has been recognized by the league.

Martin was instrumental in Cleveland State claiming its first Horizon League win of the year (a 5-2 victory) - despite facing UW-Milwaukee with only five players. She teamed with freshman Rebekah Bicksler (Bellville, Ohio/Mansfield Christian) to earn an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles, and then posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles.

The Vikings close out their home schedule with a match against Dayton on Sunday, Apr. 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Malaga Tennis Center.
