CLEVELAND - Sophomore Irina Strembitsky (Eastlake, Ohio/Mayfield) was named the Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week by the Horizon League yesterday. Strembitsky was a perfect 4-0 playing at No. 1 singles and doubles in Cleveland State's two league matches over the weekend.

Strembitsky improved to 4-0 this fall and 12-0 for her career at No. 1 singles with a pair of wins against Youngstown State and UW-Green Bay. Sunday, UWGB's Lianna Dorn became the first player to take a game from Strembitsky, losing 6-2, 6-1. Strembitsky also teamed with senior Fatima Martin (Brown Deer, Wis./Brown Deer) to win both matches at No. 1 doubles.

The Vikings are in action again on Oct. 13 when they host IPFW at the Malaga Tennis Center at noon.
