GENEVA, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team returned to action at the Spire Invitational Saturday, putting up some good performances against top-tier competition.
Cleveland State had its best finish on the track from Anna Brandt in the 1,000 Meter run, as she placed 14th in a time of 3:02.02. The Vikings also had a 14th place finish in the High Jump, as Hannah Gaskins recorded a mark of 1.58 to finish in the top-15.
Cleveland State's Distance Medley Relay team recorded a time of 12:54.96 to finish second, while Abbey Rojeck finished 18th in the 3,000 Meter run (11:12.46).
Chan'lier Myers and Tylar Mixon had good performances in the sprint events for the Vikings, Myers competing in the 60 Meter dash (31st – 8.00) and 400 Meter dash (29th – 1:01.03), and Mixon running in the 200 Meter dash (46th – 27.33) and 300 Meter dash (28th – 44:01).
The Vikings will continue their busy month of February at the Kent State Tune-Up next Saturday, February 17.
