    Marie Frease has the potential to be a dominant force in the middle of the court. Blessed with a tremendous amount of athleticism in her genes - her mother was a basketball player at Youngstown State and her brother plays basketball at Xavier - Frease has shown flashes of brilliance during her first two seasons and should be in the mix for playing time in the middle this year. She has the ability to terminate points with power and accuracy, while also offering a big block at the net which helps cut down hitting lanes for the opposition.

    2010 Season (SOPHOMORE)
    • Received action in 17 matches, making four starts, and playing 34 sets.
    • Made three blocks in league semifinal match against Butler (11/20).
    • Hit a career-high .556 (6-1-9) with two blocks versus UIC (10/15).
    • Tallied six kills in back-to-back matches against Green Bay (9/25) and Youngstown State (10/1).
    • Made a career-high 10 kills and hit .381 (10-2-21) with three blocks against Morgan State (9/11) to help squad win CSU Invitational.
    • Posted five kills in three set sweep at East Carolina (8/28).

    2009 Season (FRESHMAN)
    • Saw limited action in 12 matches as a reserve middle hitter, playing 22 sets, and making one start.
    • Notched two kills with three blocks at Milwaukee (11/7).
    • Made a career-high seven blocks at Wright State (10/16).
    • Had two kills on just two swings at Butler (9/25).
    • Recorded three kills and three blocks against Michigan State (9/5).
