Toledo - Junior outside hitter Michelle Iafigliola (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) notched a match-high 19 kills to lead Cleveland State over Chicago State 3-0 (30-20, 30-21, 30-18) in the 2001 Clarion Hotel Westgate Rocket Volleyball Classic at Savage Hall Saturday.

Iafigliola hit .350 for the match and added a match-high 15 digs to help the Vikes to their first victory of the year.

Freshman Jamie Bouyer (Bedford Heights, Ohio/Chanel) continued her strong play, recording eight blocks (one solo, seven assists) to go along with 11 kills. In addition, freshman setter Kelly Crain (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) contributed four block assists.

Defensively the Vikings recorded 12 team blocks compared to three for Chicago State.
