Final Stats

CLEVELAND - Junior outside hitter Michelle Iafigliola (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) pounded out a match-high 17 kills to go along with a match-high 17 digs as Cleveland State (2-2) handed Niagara a 21-30, 30-7, 30-21, 30-22 loss at Woodling Gymnasium Friday afternoon in the Cleveland State Invitational.

After dropping Game 1 and allowing the Purple Eagles the first score of Game 2, the Vikings ripped off 18 straight points en route to their 30-7 win, propelling them in Games 3 and 4.

Freshman middle hitter Jamie Bouyer (Bedford Heights, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel) helped the cause with 13 kills and 13 digs. In addition, junior outside hitter Lori Betchker (Amherst, Ohio/Steele) and freshman setter Kelly Crain (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) accounted for six and five services aces, respectively. Crain also contributed 10 digs while Betchker had 11.
