CLEVELAND - Sophomore libero Jordan Bateman has been named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week, the second time in three weeks she has been so honored. The league office made the announcement on Monday (Oct. 2).

The Nelsonville, Ohio native had an outstanding week defensively, averaging 6.29 digs in two matches. In Friday's sweep of Loyola, she tallied a match-high 20 digs. The next day against UIC, she recorded 24 digs to once again lead all players. In addition, she was aced just three times in 48 reception attempts on the weekend.

The Vikings (12-4, 2-2 HL) hit the road again this week for a pair of Horizon League tests. CSU will travel to Butler for a 7:00 p.m. match on Friday (Oct. 6), before heading to Wright State for a 4:00 p.m. tilt on Saturday (Oct. 7).
