CLEVELAND, Ohio - After leading Cleveland State to a perfect 3-0 mark last week, senior right side Beth Greulich has been selected as the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week.

The league office made the announcement on Monday (Oct. 12) afternoon.

It marks the second straight week that Greulich has earned the award and the sixth time in her career.

"Beth is very deserving of this honor," head coach Chuck Voss said. "She had a great wee for us and has really been swinging well. She has had an outstanding season for us and is really playing like a senior should."

The Troy, Ohio, native hit .461 in three matches last week, totaling 50 kills and just eight errors in 91 attempts. She averaged 5.00 kills and 0.80 blocks per set.

Greulich began her week with a 19-kill, four block performance in a win at Youngstown State on Wednesday (Oct. 7), while hitting .500.

She followed that up with 11 kills and three blocks in Saturday's (Oct. 10) win over Milwaukee and concluded her week with a season-high tying 20 kills versus Green Bay.

She hit .429 against Milwaukee and .450 vs. Green Bay.

Greulich, a two-time first team All-Horizon League honoree, is ranked second in the league in hitting pecentage (.345), seventh in kills (3.15) and eighth in points (3.58).

She has been even better in eight Horizon League contests, averaging 3.89 kills and 0.82 blocks, while hitting .374 to lead the Vikings to a first place tie with Valparaiso in the league at 7-1.

Greulich and the Vikings will return to action on Tuesday (Oct. 13) when CSU plays at Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. CSU then heads to Fairborn, Ohio, to take on Wright State at 7:00 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 16).
