ATHENS, OH - The Cleveland State women's cross country team competed at the Ohio Invitational Saturday, turning in some much improved times from one week ago. Julene Nickoloff finished a team-best 37th.

The Vikings were again forced to run without a full slate of runners, as Jen Ricica missed the meet with an injury. Nickoloff again paced Cleveland State, finishing with a 22:16, good enough for 37 place in the tournament.

Vanessa Anna finished in 50th place with a 24:25, and Shilah Pratt came in right behind her with a 24:32, giving her a 51st place finish. Marlene Przykling ran a 27:04 which placed her 54th.

"We saw improvement in our times this week," coach Allison Had said after the meet. "The girls were more mentally tough today, and it showed in the results. We now have a week off to get some good workouts in preparation for the All-Ohio next weekend."

The team will run the All-Ohio Invitational on Saturay, Oct. 8th in Delaware, Ohio.
