Cross Country Team Improves Times at Inaugural Falcon Invitational

Bowling Green - The women's cross country team saw each of its four competitors improve times at the inaugural running of the Falcon Invitational Saturday on the campus of Bowling Green State University. Julene Nickoloff paced the Vikings with a 22:36.

"I am so proud of the girls today," coach Allison Had commented after the meet. "They all ran so well and did exactly what I asked them to do. They ran strong, ran smart, and we saw huge improvements today."

Nickoloff finished 44th in the race with a 22:36. Vanessa Anna finished 49th with a 24:37, while Shilah Pratt finished right behind her with a 24:38. Marlene Przykling turned a 26:01 to place 52nd.

Bowling Green won the run, posting a team score of forty-five. Western Ontario finished second with 54 points, while Youngstown State came in third with a score of seventy.

The Vikings are off next week, but will travel to to Milwuakee, Wisconsin to race in the Horizon League Meet on Saturday, Oct. 30th.
