Women's Cross Country Finishes Ninth At League Championships

WARREN, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's cross country team finished ninth out of nine schools at the Horizon League Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Warren, Ohio. Shariah Pratt was the top finisher for the Vikings, placing 63rd overall.

In muddy conditions at the Avalon South Golf Course, Pratt finished 63rd with a time of 22:26.29. Tina Peric was the second finisher for the Vikings, placing 70th in 23:10.64, with Julene Nickoloff finishing 79th in 24:31.94. Shilah Pratt was 86th overall in 25:26.05, while Leah Kenner finished 87th on the day, finishing with a time of 26:42.75.

Butler's Becky Lyne was the individual overall winner, finishing in 18:29.14, as she led the Bulldogs to the team championship. Loyola finished second, followed by UW-Milwaukee and Youngstown State. UIC was fifth, with UW-Green Bay sixth, Wright State seventh and Detroit-Mercy finishing eighth.

The Vikings will wrap up their season with the Great Lakes Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Terre Haute, Ind.
