OXFORD, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team had another successful event at the Miami Duals Saturday, led by a pair of school records in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay events.
Briah Owens recorded Cleveland State's top finish in the sprint events, as she placed fourth in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 12.74. Owens also placed seventh in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 27.02.
Anna Brandt also recorded a fourth place finish in the 400 Meter Hurdles, posting a time of 1:04.92.
In the distance events, Jessica Finley recorded a seventh place finish in the 3000 Meter Run, crossing the finish line in a time of 10:31.26.
Julianne Dorothal posted the team's top finishes in the field events, placing fourth in the Javelin with a mark of 31.52, and seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.50. Hannah Gaskins placed sixth in the high jump for the Vikings, finishing with a mark of 1.55.
In the relay events, the Vikings set school records in the 4x100 and 4x400 events, while also posting a strong time in the 4x800 relay. In the 4x100 relay, Tylar Mixon, Chan'lier Myers, Lauren Zawie, and Owens finished second in a time of 48.33, while Brandt, Zawie, Myers, and Mixon recorded a matching second place finish with a time of 4:01.05 in the 4x400 relay.
